Four women find out what they’re truly made of, and what love really means.
In “New View” by Lynn Jenssen, a couple’s vow of “for better or worse” is tested to the max under the threat of overwhelming work stress, and marital misunderstandings. But when a danger threatens to tear them apart for good, they face their biggest trial of all.
In “Identity” by Christine Mazurk, a young woman embarks on a complete life-change after losing more than 100 pounds, and through a twist of fate finds herself training for a marathon under the guidance of a super sexy coach. But when she starts falling for the hunky trainer, can she trust her new-found confidence to take her to the finish line?
In “Shaman’s Shell” by Jeanine Duval Spikes, a spunky young woman finds a mystical Native American artifact that could change the course of an archeologist’s career. He wants what she’s got. She doesn’t know if she can trust him. But as an attraction builds between them, the mysterious artifact propels them to discover what they both truly need.
In “Moving Pictures” by Annette Blair, a down-but-never-out woman lands a much-needed job working for one of the top advertising agencies in the country. Her boss is an award-winning exec whose focus has been solely on work for the past few years, to the exclusion of everything else. She doesn’t know why, and he isn’t prepared to tell her. The more reclusive he is, the more determined she is to draw him out, but how can she fight the haunting ghosts of his past?
New York Times Bestselling Author, Annette Blair left her job as a Development Director and Journalism Advisor at a private New England prep school to become a fulltime writer. At forty books and counting, she’s added contemporary, bewitching, romantic comedies and cozy Vintage Magic mysteries to her award-winning historical romances. SOS. Their code to each other. Sisters of Spirit—one of them needed support. Marina Simms gazed at the email. Confused because it seemed to come from her, though the preview screen indicated they’d all received it. She hit ‘reply all’—with the date and time of the ferry to catch for a quiet weekend getaway. Four friends. They discovered a common bond and were soon awed by the psychic connections that grew between them, a universal thread none of them could ignore. And now, one of them called out to her Sisters.
They met at the dock in the chill May breeze. After a flurry of hugs and kisses, the four women ascended the stairway to the ferry’s open bow deck. They sat huddled together, enjoying the quiet of being together, smiles lighting their faces.
Marina adjusted her large dark sunglasses against the sun’s glare reflecting off the water.
Clara pulled her plaid scarf higher on her neck and tucked a cocoa curl behind her ear, then she hugged Marina close. “I am so happy to be here.”
The thick auburn ponytail that Bryce pulled through the back of a ‘Life is Good’ cap bobbed as she nodded her agreement. “Me too. I need this so badly!”
Anastasia, her wavy blonde hair streaked with a fun splash of teal, laughed. “It’s as if the island knows when we need each other.”
“So you need this, too. I’m not the only one.”
Marina was thankful her dark lenses hid the moisture filling her eyes. SOS. No one fessed up to sending the call, but apparently it came at a good time for all.
